Vip Hale

Advertising Director and Co-Owner

   Vip Hale and her husband Hank have lived in Calaveras County since 1988. Hale has 30 years of newspaper experience, beginning with the Daily Democrat in Woodland, Calif. She has also worked for the Stockton Record and the Colusa Sun-Herald. She was the advertising director at the San Andreas paper for five years.

   Hank and Vip have two grown daughters, Michelle and Charlene, and two granddaughters, all of Woodland. The Hales are members of the Calaveras Coachmen Classic Car Club and attend various car shows during the year.

   Hank owns his own business, Blackjack Enterprises, specializing on Class 7 and 8 trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.

   During her tenure at the Daily Democrat and Sun-Herald as the advertising director, Vip won numerous awards from state and regional advertising associations.

   Vip is the president of the Valley Springs Area Business Association.
